The two day programme will be hosting around 400 attendees per day with 10 panels covering different topics and technologies related to blockchain. With speakers coming from institutions, finance and from the Blockchain Ireland network itself, the event will be focused on connecting stakeholders and showcasing the latest technologies and their potential.

The event will address themes such as the evolution and stabilization of stablecoins, the rise of central bank digital currencies, and the growing trend of tokenizing real-world assets. It will showcase the latest advancements in these areas and explore various technological developments shaping the industry.

SEEBLOCKS.eu who is sponsoring the event, will host a Panel entitled 'Standards and Innovation in Europe’s Digital Future' on May 29th between 14.00 - 14.45 GMT with influential speakers in the blockchain area:

  • Jason Ward, SVP, Fidelity Inv & Head of FCAT Blockchain & Crypto;
  • Sean Murphy, Fin Serv Innovator and COO @ The Connector;
  • Sudha Iyer, CIti, Head, Enterprise Data Cybersecurity Architecture;
  • David Schwed, COO, Halborn, Elite Blockchain Cybersecurity

The panel, moderated by Fiona Delaney, will be looking at important topics at the heart of EU digital business policy for blockchain and crypto, and share insights from the unique expert views of the panellists. The style will be discursive and informative and after an overview of the Blockchian and DLT Standardisation landscape, the discussion will shift onto which challenges and opportunities the future of the field holds. In particular, the panel will tackle the role of standards in technical, legal and governance interoperability and in a digital society and will also touch upon the European standing point in comparison to the rest of the world.

The focus on the European Union will be a comparative analysis of its core values - citizen-first, private by design, secure, interoperable, net-zero infrastructure for the single digital marketplace - and the rest of trade territories in the world, forecasting the future.

In terms of topics, the panel will give insights on:

  • The current and near future role of tokenisation in value creation and exchange
  • The lessons learned from decentralised cooperative networks that shed light or shade on a vision of the near future
  • The digital society 'crystal ball' hot topics like: user privacy and programmable money; stablecoins v. national and regional currencies; Ai and blockchain / crypto
